Drug & Weapons Case Delayed

Lil Wayne’s attorneys were granted more time to build their defense yesterday (August 13) in the rapper’s drug and weapons case in Yuma, Arizona, from a January 2008 arrest.Wayne’s lawyers requested an order for evidence from the scene and questioned the training of the dogs used in searching the rapper’s tour bus last year.Wayne was put in cuffs last January after authorities searched his vehicle at a border patrol checkpoint and allegedly turned up cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and a firearm.

Wayne has plead not guilt in the case. Another hearing is scheduled for Ocotober 1, when the judge will determine a trial date.
